In the summer of 2008 I had to produce and direct a one-hour documentary in Israel for American television. I work internationally quite a bit but I had never shot in Israel before, so I sought the assistance of a local production company who could help me navigate through the world of production there. Though we only shot in Israel for two weeks, in that time they were able to open doors for us in both the West Bank and Gaza Strip, areas we previously thought we could not get into to film.
